She was predeceased by: her parents, J. D. Coleman and Mildred Coleman (Ayers); and her brothers, Larry, Carl and Robert Coleman.

She is survived by: her spouse J. C. Carpenter; her children, Marty Carpenter, Lori Musser (Kevin) of Joplin, Missy Hext of Diamond and Jody Carpenter of Joplin; her grandchildren, Jake Musser (Claudia), Korey Scribner (Brooke), Jessie Davis (Trever), Kaci Scribner and Emmy Carpenter (Jared Smith); her great grandchildren, Tinley Scribner, Alex Musser, Natalie Musser, Sunnie Scribner, Tucker Davis and Khloe Swarens; her brother Henry Coleman; her sister-in-law Patty of Webb City; and her close friends, Beverly Dunlap and Carol Scribner. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Loretta passed peacefully, surrounded by her family, from complications of Parkinson's disease.
