He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd E. Dye, Sr. and Juanita Heatherly Dye; his grandson Derick Sowder; and his sisters, Norma Jean Mitchell and Eleta Kay Spencer.

He is survived by: his wife Kathey Dye; his children, Rick Dye of Joplin, Marti Sowder (Rick) of Asbury and Cory Dye of Carl Junction; his grandchildren, Caleb Dye, Taylor Dye, Blaine Dye and Lane Sowder; his great grandchildren, Nevaeh Triplett and Sophia Dye; and his sisters-in-law, Connie Frazier (Bill) of Carl Junction and Doris Mitchell (Steve). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
