He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurman Winans and Dora Belle Winans (Skelton); and his sister Martha Ellen Winans Allen (Raymond Stump). He is survived by: his wife Una Marie Winans; his children, Rebecca Winans of Reeds, Missouri, Leonard Winans, Jr. of Kentucky and Justin "Bear" Winans of Jasper, Missouri; his brothers, Edward Lee Winans of Carthage and Cecil Winans of Oronogo, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Hunter, Trapper, Chayce, Aubrey, Archer, Jaxson and Jasmine.
