It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leonard Eugene Braun of Joplin, Missouri, born in Ness City, Kansas, who passed away on October 1, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Braun and Elma Jane Foos Braun; his wife Wilma Whitaker; his children-in-law, Tina Braun and William Modlin; and his sister Margaret Cornell.
He is survived by: his sons, Larry Braun of Joshua, TX and Darren Braun (Kristi) of Roff, OK; his siblings, Gerald and Mary Platt of Olathe, KS; and his grandchildren, Chanelle Braun (Sean Sellers), Zachary Braun (Antaza), Brandi Braun, Nathan Braun, Rebecca Courtney (Glen), Kelsie Caldwell (Cody), Kendall Sanford, James Thomas, Tristie Thomas, Kyla Thomas, Charles Thomas, Dalton Modlin, Brett Tally, Devin Tally (Jenna Campbell) and Jessie Brown. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
