With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Lawrence Smiley of Joplin, Missouri, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lemuel Smiley and Mercedes Smiley (McCrary). He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann McClanahan; his son David Smiley (Jan) of Joplin; his grandchildren, Karissa Smiley-Kreymer (Max), Brock Smiley and Kamryn Smiley; his great grandchildren, Valor Hirsch and Iris Kreymer; his siblings, Roger Smiley (Vickie) of Diamond and Marcia Allen of Bentonville, Arkansas; his son Danny Smiley; his grandson Ethan Smiley; and his siblings, Jim Sammons, Mike Sammons and Paula Lacen. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Harmony Heights Baptist Church (2025 S Indiana Ave, Joplin, MO 64804).
