He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Phillips and Iva "Louise" Phillips; and his child Keena Gail Phillips. He is survived by: his wife Juanita Russell; his grandchildren, Seth Edwards (Cassidee) of Joplin, Abby Edwards of Webb City and Madison Ritter of Joplin; his great grandchildren, Gracie Edwards-Pineiro, Baker Malone, Lawson Roderique, Lincoln Roderique and Walker Ritter; and his great great grandchild Sergio James "S. J." Pineiro.
