It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kenneth G. Opfer of Joplin, Missouri, born in Nelson, Missouri, who passed away on August 6, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Opfer and Francis Opfer (Newman); his wife Margaret Wagner; his son Steven Opfer; and his brothers, Ray and William Opfer.
He is survived by: his son Michael Opfer of Joplin; his sister Grace Miles of Marshall; his grandchildren, Jessica and Ian; and his great grandchildren, Evelynn and Noah.
The family suggests memorial donations be made to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.
