It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Julia M. Sherman of Joplin, Missouri, who passed away on November 1, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Julia M. Sherman to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George W. Ackerson and Rosa Lee Ackerson (Riley); and her husband D. Wayne Sherman. She is survived by: her great-nephew George Campbell; her great-nieces, Tammy Tomlison and Kim Long; and her close friends, Verl and Jeanie Leonard of Joplin. She is also survived by her parents and siblings.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the "Ladies on Mission" in care of Harmony Heights Baptist Church, who are actively involved with many community needs including care and comfort of the elderly.
