She was predeceased by: her parents, John Everett and Ila Johannes; her sister Kathryn Ross; and her friend Judy Howery. She is survived by: her sister Bertha Dell "Bert" Cairns of Hutchinson; her children, Kevin Gentzler (Kathy) of Leavenworth, Kristy Gentzler (Steve), Jon Gentzler (April) of Joplin and Carl Junction; her grandchildren, Joshua (Melissa), Sarah (Nate), Zach, Rebecca, Anthony, Alec and Gabby; and her great grandchildren, Paisley, Emma and Ellie. She is also survived by her husband, children, grandkids, and her nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to the Bill and Virginia Leffen Center for Autism in care of the mortuary.
