With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Jon Jay in Joplin, Missouri, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, David Jay and Roberta Jay (Morris). He is survived by: his wife Betty Lou Jay; his children, Bruce Layman, Stephen Jay (Sandy), Brenda Mitchell (Curtis), Randy Jay (Robin), Beth Gorman and Karen Jones; his grandchildren, Bryan Layman, Brandy Lichardello, Stephen Jay, Jr., Amy Ewers, Jonna Hye, Anna Kinkead, Nicholas Gorman and Ashlie Ingram; and his friend Fred Ferguson. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the National Pediatric Cancer Society.
