He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Eugene Powell and Eunice Marie Powell (Sullivan); and his significant other Carole Elizabeth Powell (Kelley). He is survived by: his brothers, Robert E. Powell, Jr. (Deceased), Spencer Dale Powell and David Earl Powell of Webb City, Missouri.; his daughters, Melinda Jean Dhar of Joplin and Cynthia Lee Weaver (Daniel) of Racine, Missouri.; his grandchildren, Jacob J. Dhar (Emily) of Carl Junction, Christina Dhar of Joplin and James Weaver of Racine; and his great grandchildren, Caden, Addison and Claire. He is also survived by four sons.
The family has requested memorial contributions to be made out to Lafayette House in lieu of flowers.
