It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Junkins of Joplin, Missouri, born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, who passed away on June 8, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Junkins and Ruth Junkins. He is survived by: his children, Steve Junkins (Sally) of Joplin, MO, Gail Sweet (Greg) of Joplin, MO, Tommy Junkins (Cindy) of Joplin, MO and Julie Walker (Jerry) of Webb City, MO; his grandchildren, Jeff Sweet (Betsy), Logan Walker, Dillon Walker, Gabe Patterson, Holly Yust (Rob) and Martha Mayberry (Steven); his great grandchildren, Clare, Andy Sweet, Isabella, Isaac Yust, Grayson and Graham Mayberry; and his sister Jan Payne (Larry) of Wolfforth, TX. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Missouri Southern Foundation or Watered Gardens in care of the Mortuary.
