It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Atwood (Joplin, Missouri), born in Kirksville, Missouri, who passed away on May 27, 2018, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Atwood and Myrtle Lugene Stoner (Bliss); and his siblings, Margaret Kershner, Robert E. Atwood, Ray L. Atwood and Richard S. Atwood.
He is survived by: his children, Sandra Atwood (Dustin Larson) of Joplin, John Atwood (Kimberly Atwood) of Joplin and Nathan Atwood of Joplin. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two sisters, two brothers, and a host of family and cherished friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Children's Haven of Southwest Missouri in care of the mortuary.
