She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Elmer and Gladys Ferol Burns (Dugger); her brothers, Billy and Max Burns; her sons, Bill and Steve Wood; her sisters-in-law, Frankie and Loania Burns; her son-in-law Eddie "Tobe" Hartsell; and her granddaughter Tara Mendez of Santa Rosa.

She is survived by: her husband Don Beers; her children, Jerry Wood (Kathy) of Butler, Missouri, Carolyn Hartsell of Joplin Missouri and Kathy Beers (Stephanie Mills) of Belleville, Illinois; her daughter-in-law Nancy Young; her brother Jim Burns (Shari Reed) of Bella Vista, Arkansas; her nephews, Jimmy Burns of Palm Springs and Rockey Burns (Robbin Gorman) of Siloam Springs, Arkansas.; and her grandchildren, Trent Wood of Middletown, Sara Wood (Scott), Bethany Wood of Concord, Andrea Wood Baxter of Butler and Michael Wood (Jennifer) of Holt's Summit, Missouri..
