He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Waugh and Maxine Waugh; and his siblings, Dick and Becky. He is survived by: his wife Martha; his sons, Matt and Andy; his grandchildren, Grace of Joplin, Beckham of Joplin, Griffin of Joplin, Paxton of Joplin, Jack of Joplin and Ruby of Joplin; his siblings, Joe Waugh, Patrick Waugh and Debbie Bailey; and also Jim.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Saint Paul's United Methodist Church, Joplin, Missouri.
