It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jim Kennedy (Joplin, Missouri), who passed away on April 6, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Jim find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may his legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Frederick Kennedy and Betty Louise Kennedy (Robbins); his wife Linda Kay Kennedy; and his sister Carol McBee. He is survived by: his daughters, Stacey Kennedy (Marty Mullin) of Joplin, Tracy Allen (Shane) of Baxter Springs, KS and Leslie Huhn (Chris) of Carl Junction; his grandchildren, Kennedy Allen of Kansas City, MO and Harrison Huhn of Tucson, AZ; and his brother Edward L. Kennedy (Judy) of Joplin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Rooted Church of Carl Junction (302 S Main St, Carl Junction, MO 64834).
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Shriner's Children.
