He is survived by: his wife Nina Starkey (Jones); his children, Todd Starkey (Poppi) of Joplin and Michele Starkey of Joplin; his siblings, Wanda Williams of Suisun City, CA, Iva Mulford (Bob) of Harrison, AR, Elizabeth Zeliff of Carson, Linda Chaffin (Ray Chaffin) of Wichita, KS, Debra Wiskirchen (John) of Branson West, MO, Rex Starkey (Shirley) of Hasty, AR and Johnny Starkey of Harrison; and his grandchildren, Jeffrey Webb, Brittany Phillips, Tyler Starkey, Jessica Dietz and Hailey Tweedy. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
