James Owen Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Owen of Joplin, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 25, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As James departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though James may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy James leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James B. Owen and Doris Sherwood Owen. He is survived by: his sons, Jeff Owen (Kim) and James M. Owen (Roxanne); and his brother Michael Owen. He is also survived by three granddaughters, and nine great grandchildren.
Memorial Contributions are requested to the Joplin Humane Society or Christ's Community Methodist Church in care of the Mortuary.
