He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Sherrod and Hazel Sherrod of Newkirk; his sister Kay Harrison of Mulvane; and his daughter Jan Cude of Independence, Kansas.. He is survived by: his wife Lutishey Sherrod of Joplin; his children, Joy Phelps (Don Phelps) of Tonkawa, Jon Sherrod (Jennifer Sherrod) of Joplin and Jay Sherrod (Amy Sherrod) of Neodesha; his brother Walter Sherrod of Newkirk, Oklahoma.; and his grandchildren, Stephanie Owen of Wichita, Kristin Phelps of Kansas City, Julie Sherrod of Joplin, Leslie Phelps of Tahlequah, Erick Sherrod of Neodesha and Levi Sherrod of Joplin Missouri.
