We are sad to announce that on June 22, 2021, at the age of 83, James Bates of Joplin, Missouri, born in Neosho, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Bates and Gladys Bates (Massey); and his siblings, Lee Bates, Thomas Bates, Mike Bates and Bonnie Kinkade.
He is survived by: his wife Beulah Bates of Joplin, MO; his children, Keith Bates (Sherry), Grove, Terry Bates (Tonya) of Joplin, MO, Carl Dean Lowry (Lynette) of Phoenix, AZ, Tammy Taffner (Bob) of Carthage, MO, Audrey Eubanks (Darrell) of Joplin, MO, Reta Bates of Webb City, MO and Sandy Allgood (Steve) of Webb City, MO; and his grandsons, Derek Eubanks, Kyle Eubanks, Richard Fowler, Micah Fowler, Zachary Taffner and Randy Bates. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Masonic Lodge #549 of Carl Junction, MO in care of the mortuary.
