She was predeceased by: her parents, Manuel Rios and Leonor Rios (Jimenez); her former husband Jesus Guerra, Sr.; and her son Robert R. Guerra. She is survived by: her husband Jose Avelar, Sr.; her children, Maria Guerra (Albert Lea), Beatriz Olvera (Hayward), Celia Granados (Nicolas) of Kyle, TX, Minerva Garza (Albert Lea), Jesus Guerra, Jr. (Albert Lea), Corina Cain (Michael, Jr.), Graciela Gregory (Timothy) of Fairfax, SC and Victor M. Guerra (Gail); and her goddaughter Tina Madrigal. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren.
