He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Powers and Lena Powers (Johnston); his wife Pauline Powers; his siblings, Kenneth Powers, Cecil Powers, Bob Powers, Bud Powers and Evelyn Ramsour; and his son-in-law Steve Franklin.
He is survived by: his children, Paula Franklin of Webb City, Marilyn O'Banion (Harold) of Springfield, Beverly Jestes (Bob) of Springfield, Tim Powers (Cindy) of Diamond and Carla Powers of Boynton Beach; his grandchildren, Lacey Carmer (Chris), Aubrey Bradley (Mike), Skyler Powers Dezarae Scacewater (Todd), Ashley Jestes, Tyler O'Banion (Hilary), Stephanie Franklin and Heather Franklin; his sister Joan Ogden of Carthage; and his sisters-in-law, Lorene Powers and Cynthia Powers. He is also survived by many others cousins and extended family.
