He was predeceased by: his parents, George Wesley Thompson and Rose Wanda Bowles Thompson; and his brother Dean Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Jo Nell Reeves; his sons, Adam Orender of Girard and Roscoe Johnson; his daughter-in-law Tammy Orender of Pittsburg; his sister Janice Loraine Pyle of Wichita; his nephews, Jeffrey and Aaron Pyle; and his niece Joy Felix. He is also survived by three granddaughters.
A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mason-Woodard Chapel (3701 E 7th St, Joplin, MO 64801).
