He was predeceased by: his parent Oren Whitsett; and his brother Charles Whisett. He is survived by: his parent Leota Whitsett (Stafford); his wife Patsy Jo Whitsett; his children, Gregg A. Whitsett (Shannon) of Joplin and Cyndee Roberts of Las Vegas; his stepsons, Tony Green of Joplin and Paul Green of Las Vegas; and his grandchildren, Brandon of Las Vegas, Derick of Las Vegas, Dustin of Las Vegas, Jordan Roberts of Las Vegas, Caleb, Josiah, Noah Whitsett of Joplin, Adam Whitsett (Macy) of Overland Park and Rebecca Whitsett of Joplin. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
