He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Skerritt and Anna Skerritt (Davis); his stepsons, Gary Mercer and Steven Mercer; and his brothers, Jack Skerritt, George Skerritt and Donald Skerritt.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Skerritt; his stepson Michael Mercer; his sister-in-law Mary Ellen Pitt; his grandchildren, Brandon Mercer, Valerie Mercer and Melanie Mercer; his great grandchildren, Emma Mercer, Megan Mercer and Mason Mercer; his nieces, Jeannette Risteau and Izabella Risteau; and his nephew Wyatt Baird.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to Fair Haven Children's Home.
