He is survived by: his wife Linda Cartright; his children, Pam Kuehn (Charlie) of Joplin, Kevin Cartright of Joplin and Jeff Cartright (Jeanette) of Carthage; his granddaughters, Ashley, Alexandria, Hannah, Grace and Katherine; his great grandchildren, Dominique, Daunte, Aayden, Davien, River and Beau; and his sister Joyce Campbell.

“Linda, Pam, Kevin, Jeff, Our family is very sorry to hear that Gary has passed. Gary was my childhood hero, about 16 years older than me, I recall him carrying me on his shoulders a few miles to get a candy bar and soda, when I was about 5. Uncle Harold, Aunt Leora and Gary were visiting my Grandparents, Al and Loretta Crites. He was always thought of fondly. Sincerely, Rick Foree (son of Marlene Foree, nee Crites)”
