It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eldon Mize of Joplin, Missouri, born in Black, Missouri, who passed away on September 4, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Eldon Mize and Gladys Doll Mize (Guinn); his sister Phyllis Burgher; his son Daniel Eldon Mize; and his granddaughter Destiny Pendleton.
He is survived by: his pet Scooter; his wife Patricia Mize; his children, Deborah Derish (Walter), Katherine White (Derek), David Mize (Svitlana), Susan Poulson (Steven) and Sandra Pendleton (Joe); and his pet Casper. He is also survived by 10 Grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
