He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Powell Pendergraft and Jessie Louise Pendergraft (Sherman); and his wife Carolyn. He is survived by: his children, A. Powell Pendergraft (Kim) of Buda, D. Allen Pendergraft (Carrie) of Joplin and James I. Pendergraft (Betsy) of Carthage; his grandchildren, Jared Pendergraft of Buda, Kayla Martinez (Jorge) of Cibolo, Thomas Pendergraft (Chelsea) of Seneca, Jonathan Pendergraft (Laurel) of Marshfield, Rose Peacock (John) of Joplin, Hannah Coberley (Josh) of Jane, Jessie Harrington (Walter) of Memphis and Luke Pendergraft of Carthage; and his great grandchildren, Holly, Owen, Clara and Hank. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Fair Haven Children's Home care of Parker Mortuary.
