It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dorothy Claxton (Joplin, Missouri), born in Hesper, Iowa, who passed away on February 5, 2020, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Knute K. Sanden and Nora Sanden (Nelson); her husband Donald Claxton; and her brother Delmar Sanden. She is survived by: her children, Doug Claxton (Barbara) and Debbie Brown (Keith); and her grandchildren, Becky Sloan (Aaron), Jennifer Honeycutt (Nathan), Melissa Anderson (Jeff), Lara Davis (Steve), Jeremy Brown (Teresa) and Jason Brown (Abbie). She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Ronald McDonald House in care of the mortuary.
