She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Stubblefield and Jayne Stubblefield (Varner); her husband Chet Pennel; and her daughters-in-law, Deneise Pennel (Crosswhite) and Johnnie Pennel (Cook).
She is survived by: her children, Dr. Roger I. Pennel (Angela) of Warrensburg, Missouri and Donna Mitchell of Joplin; her grandchildren, Chad Pennel (Kim) of Frisco, Dr. Cara Pennel (Joe Wiard) of Galveston, Joshua Pennel (Liz) of Buffalo, Adam Pennel (Laylan) of Phoenixville, Jennifer Harryman (Ryan) of Madisonville and Austin Mitchell (Kira) of Joplin; and her great grandchildren, Jake Pennel, Hunter Pennel, Taylor Pennel, Madeline Pennel, Theodor Pennel, Marlowe Pennel, Ian Harryman, Arian Harryman, Tyra Mitchell, Kailey Mitchell and Kinsley Mitchell.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Joplin Heights Baptist Church in care of Parker Mortuary.
