He was predeceased by: his parents, Fredrick Ross and Goldie Ross; his former wives, Jo Ann Ross and Wilma Ross; his sister Carol Messer; his stepfather Howard Forkner; his grandchildren, Bryann Baird and Nick Ross; and his great grandchild Knox Laurance.
He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Bryan; his children, Cheri Myers, Karen Cowger, Davette Outt and Doug Ross (Shelley); his stepchildren, Cindy Herr and Mike Larson; his grandchildren, Aaron Myers (Erin), Lauren Maggard (Adam), Michael Myers (Rebecca), Shane Cowger (Toni), Bryan Cowger (Lisa), Kasey Cowger (Leslie), Damon Outt, Daren Outt, Jake Baird and Jessica Laurance (Shay); his sister Juanita Forkner; his brother-in-law Steve Messer; his brother Aaron Adair; and his nieces, Susan Messer and Kim Fumagally.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made out to Avalon Hospice Care.
