He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Johns and Gertrude Johns (Behrens); his wife Margaret E. Kaste; and his brother Donald C. Johns. He is survived by: his daughter Susan Johns-Smith (Robert) of Pittsburg; and his sister-in-law Jorun Johns of Riverside. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
