He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia Melton; his son Kevin Melton; and his siblings, Lorene Ingram, Mary Hoagland, William Melton and Gerald Melton.
He is survived by: his children, Kristy Verbryck (Carey), Kenny Melton (Polly) and Kelley Melton (Lesley); his daughter-in-law Pam Melton; and his sister-in-law Mollie Tracy. He is also survived by five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
