He is survived by: his siblings, Billy Shere, Pamela O'Reilly (Tim), Janet Allen (Richard), Lisa Smith (Robert), Jeff Shere (Mindy) and Juanita Phillips (Marion); his daughters, Sonia McGee (Albert), Mandy Shere, Vanessa Shere, Samantha Proffitt (Dustin Meadows) and Kimberly Fultz (George Newberry); his grandchildren, Kayleb Shere (Nikey), Zachary Holt (Alysa), Kamryn Proffitt, Sloane Meadows and Cory Meadows; and his pet Mylee.
