He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Wald and Alice Wald (Brewer); and his brothers, Dale, Carl and David Wald.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Jane Strickling; his children, Richard Wald (Diane), Tammie Allen of Joplin and Shelly Nichols (Brian) of Joplin; his grandchildren, Hope Carson (Charlie), Curtis Wald (Randi), Chelsea Clark (Eric), Dakota Wald (Bethani), Faith Allen, Zachary Nichols, Luke Allen, Colton Powell and Lauren Nichols; and his sisters, Jennie Leake (Jeff), Brenda Sorg of Joplin and Linda Wilson of Webb City. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
