He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer "H. E." Shank and Opal Shank; his siblings, Marvin Shank and Norma Jean Hankins (Shank); his daughter Jeannette Shank; and his grandson Andrew Shank.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Shank; his son Bryan Shank (Dawn); his brother Dwain Shank; and his grandchildren, Aaron Shank, Mykayla Shank, Olivia Williams and Melodye Williams.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 29th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Mason-Woodard Chapel (3701 E 7th St, Joplin, MO 64801). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 30th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (4128 Connecticut Ave, Joplin, MO 64804). A burial will be held on Monday, September 30th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery (415 N St Louis Ave, Joplin, MO 64801).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Library of The First Baptist Church Joplin in care of the mortuary.
