He was predeceased by: his parents, Carroll Simon and Ida Simon (Goodrich); his wife Penny Young; his close friend Patsy Hartgrove; and his great grandchild Connor Simon.
He is survived by: his children, James Simon (Liz) of Joplin, Terry Simon (Kay) of Joplin, Shawn Simon of Joplin and Michelle Epperson (Darrell) of Goodman; his brother Jerry Simon (Jean) of Duenweg; his grandchildren, Nick Simon, Kara Fields, Tiffany Willis, Kelly Yeager, Kylee Roe, Logan Simon, Kelsie Gomez, Ethan Epperson and Dalton Epperson; his nieces and nephews, Kim Young and Doug Simon; and his uncle Bob Simon (Barbara) of Carl Junction. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association and may be entrusted to the mortuary.
