He was predeceased by: his wife Mildred Lorraine Gust; his daughter Carlene Dyer; and his siblings, Anna Foster and John "Jim" Nelson. He is survived by: his children, Vallen L. Nelson (Katharine) of Joplin and Christina L. Beaver (Alan) of Anderson, Missouri. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Anyone in attendance will be required to wear a mask and social distancing will be implemented.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House.
