He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Irine; his former wife Phyllis Hight of Joplin; his children, Ron Hight (Melanie, Joplin, Lanny), Tammy, Neosho, Cynthia Lea (David, Monett), David Slankard and Paul Slankard (Jill, Seneca); and his brother Rick Hight (Nancy, Joplin). He was also cherished by eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and many other extended family members and friends.
