He was predeceased by: his stepfather Paul McConnell; his grandparents, Edith, Ralph Parise, Fred and Fern Berziel; and his uncle Jim Parise.

He is survived by: his father Gale Berziel; his siblings, Becky Jacobs (Mike) and Braden Berziel (Sofia); and his nieces, Grace, Ally, Lilly Jacobs, Isabella, Daphne and Bianca Berziel.
