He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Pippin and Jennie Pippin (Crance); and his daughter Edyth "Dee Dee" Kirklin. He is survived by: his grandsons, Jesse DeGonia and Tracy DeGonia. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
