He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbert Houston and Nancy Houston (Comstock); his brother Jack Houston; his grandchildren, Christy, Amy and Nathaniel; and his great grandchild Thomas James "TJ".
He is survived by: his wife Joy Black; his children, Kathleen Trenary (Tim) of Granby, MO, Bobby Houston, Jr. (Denise) of Joplin and Diane Houston of Joplin; his grandchildren, Angela Miller (Jason), Jeremy Truelove (Melissa), Lisa Winnett (Tim), Trisha Massey (Wesley), Matthew Houston (Kayla) and Emily Epperson; and his sister Lois Black (Dave) of Springfield, MO.. He is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Samaritan's Purse or Lottie Moon care of Parker Mortuary.
