She was predeceased by: her parents, Otho Stokes and Leona Stokes; and her siblings, Eulah Gollhofer and Tod Stokes. She is survived by: her husband Harold Thompson; her sisters, Joan Harvey of Parker and Janine Stokes of Shawnee Mission, Kansas; and her children, Beth Routledge, Kathy Adams (Jim) of Joplin and Chuck Thompson (Janet) of Webb City, Missouri. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Gideons International.
