He was predeceased by: his parents, James Newman and Evalena Anthony (Parsons); his daughter Kathy Gruner; and his brother James Anthony. He is survived by: his wife Mary Anthony; his children, Brant Anthony (Lisa) and Kim Overbey (Jeff) of Kearney, MO; his son-in-law Greg Gruner of Mobile, AL; his grandchildren, Ashley Givens (Caleb), Brooke Hooten (Cole), Jenna Keyes (Coby), Matthew Overbey and Kellie Overbey; and his great grandchildren, Jase Hooten, Barrett Hooten, Everett Givens, Elizabeth Keyes and Amelia Givens.
Memorials donations are suggested to the Samaritan Center.
