He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Gerald Gentry and Roma Sue Gentry (Robertson); his wife Pamela Gentry; his daughter Jenna Thompson (Kyle) of Rhineland; his stepdaughter Brandy Herigon (Ryan) of Jefferson City; his grandchildren, Cruze and Gentry Thompson; and his stepgranddaughter Riley Herigon.
