It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shelby Jean Gifford of Jefferson City, Missouri, who passed away on December 24, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Shelby may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester and Virgie (Schales); and her spouse Sidney Wayne Gifford. She is survived by: her siblings-in-law, Dr. Vernon Pete Gifford, James "Jim" Gifford (Pat) and Jane Gifford. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral and Cremation Services (1100 Iron Bridge Rd, Poplar Bluff, MO 63901). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
