With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Jane Schaefer (Jefferson City, Missouri), who passed away on December 11, 2020 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Aloysius and Anna Regina Benne (Schmidt); her son Thomas Louis Schaefer; her grandson Thomas Dean Schaefer; her siblings, Louis Eugene Benne, MaryLou Wieberg and Lavern Toebben; and her parents-in-law, Dorothy, Ferdinand Richter, Mary Catherine Otto, Joan Branson, Agnes Benne, Sylvester Lueke, Clarence Rockers and Louis Wieberg.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Schaefer (Connie), Wardsville, Joyce Wilson, Taos and Jane Patten (Terry); her grandchildren, Brad Schaefer (Julie), Joseph Schaefer, Julie Wilson, Christine Wilson, Derek Wilson (Lacy), Jessica Patten and Lauren Buechter (Keith); her great grandchildren, Madison Backes, Chance Hardin, Elizabeth Jackson, Porter Schaefer, Gavin Buechter and Henry Buechter; her siblings, Juliann Rockers of St. Martin, Patty Whittle (Tommy) of Centertown, Betty Jo Luebbering (Bill) of St. Thomas, Jerry Benne (Carol) of Centertown and Donnie Benne (Mary Ellen) of Centertown; and her parents-in-law, Alvin Toebben of St. Martins, Harry Otto, Oscar Branson of Westphalia and Nobert Schaefer (Janet) of Osage City. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The general public is welcome to attend the services while following social distancing guidelines.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
