He was predeceased by: his parents, Dwight D. Kay and Pauline "Pat" Kay (Goeller); his grandmother Sarah Goeller; and his parents-in-law, Thomas and Lorice Shirley.
He is survived by: his wife Susie Kay; his daughter Emily Kay of Jefferson City; his siblings, Randy Kay (Rita), Rick Kay, Chris Kay, Steve Kay (Dennis), Cindy Lamberson (Toby) and Tim Kay; and his siblings-in-law, Tom Shirley (Vicky), Wesley Shirley, Larry Shirley (Terri), Leesa Drennan (Thomas) and Barb Mitchell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice Compassus or the American Diabetes Association.
