He was predeceased by: his father George Heckemeyer; and his brother David Heckemeyer. He is survived by: his mother Dorothy Heckemeyer (Struemph); his wife Diane O'Brien; his daughters, Kelly Lohsandt (Dalton) and Sarah Heckemeyer (Josh Cox); and his sisters, Sharon Kemna (Carl), Elaine Kesel (Jim), Judy Doerhoff (Sid), Darlene Loethen (Tony) and Lois Otto. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Elizabeth Park Board.
