It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Schmitz of Jefferson City, Missouri, who passed away on March 25, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Schmitz and Pauline Schmitz (Cremer); his siblings, Jerome Schmitz, Leo Schmitz, Jr., Margaret Salvarino, Delores Schetzler and Mary Louise Distler; and his granddaughter Chrissy Ewing.
He is survived by: his sons, Kevin Schmitz (Janice), Randall Schmitz (Tracey), Dennis Schmitz (Kathleen) and Steven Schmitz (Chrystal); and his grandchildren, Jacob Schmitz, Jackson Schmitz, Emily Schmitz, Jennifer Brader (Jonathan), Nichole Strattman (Scott), Bradley Schmitz, Stacey Beck (Kenny), Amber Ewing (Jamey), Trista Ewing (Marc), Matthew Schmitz and Evan Schmitz. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
